We are proud to share a valuable resource that our former BC Buddies Coordinator, Allison Lui, put together: “Navigating Medical School With Hearing Loss” (click on the link).

To complement an orientation handbook UBC Faculty of Medicine puts out, Allison worked with Student Affairs to create a handbook on navigating medical school with hearing loss. It discusses topics such as accommodations, special medical equipment, and disclosures. For now this handbook provides specific resources for UBC and BC.

We hope that this will encourage those who are considering to practice medicine to pursue their dreams. Anything is possible!
